Popular group FUNKY MONKEY BABYS announced on their official site that they will be disbanding after their nation-wide tour next year.
Titled, “Announcement for all of you who have always been supporting us”, the announcement says, “As some of you know, DJ Chemical’s home is a temple. DJ Chemical is now about to start preparing to be the chief priest of the temple, thus it will be difficult for him to continue our music activities. After much discussion with the members and staff members, we have concluded that FUNKY MONKEY BABYS without DJ Chemical cannot be FUNKY MONKEY BABYS. Therefore, we will be disbanding after our nation-wide tour ‘WE ARE FUNKY MONKEY BABYS TOUR’ that we are holding in 2013.”
Their nation-wide tour will kick off in Hokkaido on January 13th of 2013, and they will make stops at 11 locations (total 21 stages) until the final stage at Saitama Super Arena on March 31st.
